Atwoods Ranch & Home Stores has opened in Yukon.
The store opened at 7 a.m. Wednesday, May 5.
The store has served homeowners, ranchers, and hobby farmers for the past 61 years, according to a news release from Atwoods, based in Enid.
Atwoods offers nationally-known name brands alongside assortments of items “seldom found anywhere else. It has a fun, friendly, and somewhat nostalgic atmosphere with a reputation for everyday low prices.”
“We’re extremely excited about the opportunity in Yukon,” said President Brian Atwood.
“It’s a great location and we’ve really been encouraged by the amount of customers anxious for us to open our doors.” Grand opening events included a five-day sale, giveaway items, and daily deals that are sure to give customers a reason to come in day after day.
Although known as a company with strong ties to its farming roots, Atwoods expansive and diverse product offering make it as equally appealing to the urban homeowner as it is to farmers and ranchers. Atwoods is an Oklahoma-based company, owned and operated by the Atwood family, and has been since its founding in 1960.
What began as a small single store has grown into 66 large-format stores with locations in Oklahoma, Texas, Arkansas, Kansas, and Missouri. The company’s broad product mix, coupled with discounted pricing and good old fashioned customer service have made it a staple for customers looking to stretch their dollar in today’s tough economic environment.
“Our focus is solely on the customer,” said Atwood. “Whether you’re shopping for garden hose, fertilizer, boots, jeans, dog food, baby chicks, a lawnmower, or just about anything else; ATWOODS has it and we have it for less.” The new Atwoods is located at 1670 Shedeck Circle, next to the AMC movie theater.
