For grand opening day, Hocker offered 45 minute weddings for $99. Bridal parties and guests had 45 minutes to have their ceremony and festivities, and be in and out. The weddings took place from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. An ordained minister, Hocker performed the ceremonies in front of a wedding arch, inside a new, rustic barn Hocker built for weddings.

Tables were in place for bridal parties who planned brief receptions.

In keeping with CDC guidelines, chairs were set up so that couples could have under 50 guests.

The bridal party and family for the 4 p.m. wedding arrived early. They chatted and laughed, while waiting outside for the bride and groom to arrive. A white goat wandered into the area, checking out the group. One family member, Terry Sparks, said, “The reception cake cost more than the wedding itself. We are having a small cake and punch after the ceremony.”

The groom, Sean Pulliam of Oklahoma City, arrived. Then the bride, Tisha Sparks of Mustang, arrived last, wearing purple tennis shoes. A professional photographer snapped wedding pictures.

The bride and her father stood outside the main door, and then entered the chapel for the ceremony.
