Piedmont Wildcats basketball heads to the Newcastle Invitational Tournament Thursday with an 0-11 record.

The Piedmont Wildcats basketball team dropped to 0-11 on the season Tuesday night in a loss at Guthrie.

The team lost to the Blue Jays by 14 points, 59-45. Gabe Rhone-Dunn had 13 points to lead the team in scoring. Emanuel Flores scored nine points. Isaiah Lemons and Colton Sydnes had five points. Jaxson White had four points. Jayce Daniels had six points and Josh Mars had three points in the game.

On Jan. 15, Piedmont lost to Shawnee 64-52 and on Jan. 12 they lost to Bishop McGuinness High School 58-48.

The team had a steady schedule of games through the holiday break with outings in the Mustang Holiday Tournament where they lost three games to Wagoner, Shawnee and Midwest City.

The boys are in the Newcastle Otho “Sweet Pea” Curtis Invitational Tournament Thursday, Jan. 21.

The boys will play Classen SAS at 5:30 p.m. Thursday.
