The Piedmont Wildcats opened the season Tuesday night against a contender for the Class 5A title, and they lost by 39 points.
The Wildcats, under third year Coach Wil Scofield, play their first game of the season at Collett Fieldhouse against the third-ranked Lawton MacArthur Highlanders.
Piedmont lost 100-61.
Piedmont trailed at halftime 54-28.
