The number of deaths in Canadian County from COVID-19 has been reported by the Oklahoma State Department of Health.

Data available Tuesday morning, Dec. 15, shows there have been 41 deaths in the county since the pandemic started in March.

Meanwhile, INTEGRIS Baptist Medical Center hospital officials announced on Monday that the COVID-19 vaccine from Pfizer had arrived. The vaccine is being given to frontline healthcare providers first, and then to those living in nursing homes and their caretakers.

Meanwhile, there have been 8,731 cases since March in the county and 7,545 people recover.

Yukon has had 4,606 cases, 15 deaths and 3,939 people recover since March.

Mustang has had 1,465 cases, 12 deaths and 1,259 people recover.

El Reno has had 1,609 cases, nine deaths and 1,419 people recover.

Piedmont has had 611 cases, five deaths, and 529 people recover.

Okarche has had 138 cases, four deaths and 129 people recover. Canadian County has had the fourth highest number of cases in counties in Oklahoma.

Cleveland County has had 15,743 cases, 138 cases, and 13,449 people recover.

Tulsa County has had 39,898 cases, 317 deaths and 34,155 people recover.

Oklahoma County has had 49,596 cases, 373 deaths and 41,253 people recover.

In Kingfisher County, there have been 1,118 cases, seven deaths and 984 people recover.

Statewide, there have been 239,767 cases, 2,072 deaths and 202,532 people recover since the pandemic started in, the health department reports.
