Piedmont’s state of emergency proclamation has been extended through May 31, City Manager Jason Orr said.
The Piedmont City Council will meet at 6 p.m. Monday to discuss the city’s financial shape during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, Orr said. The city’s fiscal year budget is about $11 million. Sales tax revenue is expected to be down for March and April.
No decision has been made about whether to cancel the Piedmont Fourth of July fireworks display this year.
“We have started to discuss it,” Orr said Friday.
The special meeting Monday will be at the municipal building, 314 Edmond Road.
