A social media report on Sunday of a coronavirus patient who may have a connection to Canadian County has not been confirmed.

The Canadian County Sheriff’s office said there are no confirmed reports of the virus in the county as of Sunday night.

An Oklahoma State Department of Health media advisory Sunday reports a total of eight cases statewide. None of the cases are in Canadian County.

The cases by counties are: Cleveland, one case; Jackson, one case; Kay, one case; Oklahoma, one case; Payne, one case; and Tulsa three cases.

A tweet Sunday by local TV reporter stated a patient lives and works in Canadian and Cleveland counties.
