Two men were killed Wednesday in a car and tractor trailer wreck on Piedmont Road between NW 122 and Hefner Road, police reported.
The names of the victims had not been released by press time late Wednesday.
Oklahoma City firefighters responded to the call about 1:30 p.m. and found the car trapped under the tractor trailer rig.
Authorities said it appeared the car went under the rig, knocked out the axels and was crushed by the trailer. The men were dead at the scene.
Police reported it took more than an hour before crews were able to free the trailer from the top of the car. The cause of the wreck remains under investigation.
