But another rushing TD from Piedmont’s Jayden Fuston made it 13-7 at the end of the second quarter.

In the third quarter, Piedmont’s defense remained tough for El Reno to move through. Then a 40-yard touchdown pass from Gray to Lane Whitworth and the extra point from Noah Ward put the Wildcats on top 20-7. Then El Reno scored with about 10 minutes left in the fourth quarter to pull to 20-14. May ran around the right side of the El Reno defense to extend the score to 26 to 14 and the extra point put the Wildcats ahead 27-14 late in the fourth quarter.
