Truck hits utility lines, knocks out power in part of Piedmont

Restoration expected by 9 p.m.

Customers of Oklahoma Gas & Electric Co. in the northern part of Piedmont lost power when a tractor-trailer struck utility lines at N Piedmont Road and Arrowhead/NW 192 on Thursday.

No one was injured in the incident Thursday afternoon, Fire Chief Andy Logan said.

Up to 250 customers were affected by the outage first reported at 1:26 p.m., OG&E reported its website.

Power was estimated to be restored to customers by 9 p.m., OG&E reported.
