Don Simons, 95, of Yukon passed away peacefully in his sleep on November 8. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Janet.
He is survived by three children, four grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Don was a Master Optician, member of The Masonic Lodge and a member of The Quiet Birdmen. He was also a veteran of the Korean War.
He was a private pilot, built and flew experimental aircraft, and had a remarkable life.
There will be no services. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to one of two charities he gave to generously. Shriners Hospitals for Children, or St. Judes Children’s Hospital.
