Melinda “Mindy” (Gray) Campbell passed away peacefully on April 1, 2023, from cancer, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on Oct. 13, 1953, in Manhattan, Kansas, to William and Myrna Gray. She married Ralph Campbell in June1990 and they spent the next 33 years building a wonderful life together.
She enjoyed many motorcycle trips, traveling and camping with friends. She also enjoyed shopping, crafting, reading, playing cards at the lake and watching HGTV for ideas for the home and most of all loving her children and grandchildren.
After retiring from Prime Operating, she moved to Lake Eufaula with her husband. Mindy is a graduate of Putnam City Original Class of 1972 and had attended Arapahoe Community College in Colorado.
Mindy is survived by her husband, Ralph Campbell; mother, Myrna; children, Luke Gregory (Theresa) Choctaw, Oklahoma, Christen Hannegan (Chad) Piedmont, Oklahoma, Jennifer Andrews (Jake) Yukon, Oklahoma, Sarah Yager (Brian) Yukon, Oklahoma, Darla Brown (Kevin) Yukon, Oklahoma, and Bryan Campbell (Heather Johnson) Laramie, Wyoming; grandchildren, Katie, Carly, Cade, Alexandria, Jordan, Jake, Peyton, Kameron, Gracie, Bricen, Benson, Shanci, Ariel, Derick and Cash; and great-grandchildren, Beckham and Phoenix.
Mindy will always be remembered for her loving and generous heart, her sense of humor and her unwavering loyalty to her family and friends. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
A celebration of Mindy’s life will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 22, 2023, at Saint Augustine Episcopal Church, 14700 N. May Avenue, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Flowers can be sent to the funeral home or direct to the church.
