There’s dominance and then there’s what Piedmont’s baseball team did to its competition in regionals at F&M Bank Stadium on Thursday and Friday.

The Wildcats combined to outscore Santa Fe South and Lawton Eisenhower 37-1 in three games as they coasted to another berth in the Class 5A state tournament.

Piedmont (30-8) opened the regional with a 12-1 run-rule win over the Saints then hammered Eisenhower in back-to-back games, 10-0 and 15-0.

PHS will now await its opening-round draw for the state tournament, which begins Thursday in Oklahoma City.
