Pauline Stambaugh-Lash

Pauline Stambaugh-Lash passed away on April 1, 2022, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, at the age of 98.

Pauline was born to parents George Griffin and Olive Griffin on February 6, 1924, in Frisco, Oklahoma. She grew up in the Yukon area and loved to read, do arts and crafts, and oil paint. She was involved in her children’s school and sporting events and was a side-kick and supporter of her husband’s horse-racing hobby. She met her spouse, Elden Stambaugh, while in business school. During their 46 years together they raised four children, whom they loved very much.

Pauline was active in her Home Extension Club and developed long-lasting relationships with those women and special new friends with whom she celebrated monthly lunches her entire life. She also loved to travel and loved having kids and grandkids over on Sunday afternoons and every holiday. She worked with Elden, operating the SSS Fence Company for over 30 years. All who knew her were amazed by her pristine memory. She took the microphone and named over 100 guests from old to newborn at her 90th birthday celebration. Her remarkable strength and independence allowed her to enjoy life from her home up until the last few months. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother. Pauline will be dearly missed.

Pauline Stambaugh-Lash is preceded in death by her husband, Elden “Stan” Stambaugh; her husband, Kenneth Lash; parents, George and Olive Griffin; her siblings, Paul, Meryl, George Jr., Mildred, Bertha and Maybell; and one of her children, Anita Jones.
