The December Piedmont City Council meeting has been canceled for Monday night, Dec. 20 due to COVID-19 concerns, a city spokeswoman reported Monday afternoon.
Meanwhile, the Oklahoma State Department of Health has reported 13 deaths from COVID-19 in Piedmont since the pandemic started in March 2020.
Several city staff members are out with positive cases, a city spokeswoman reports. City Hall is open for business.
A date to reschedule the meeting had not been set Monday.
