The City of Piedmont has been sued by a local home builder.
An attorney for Boevers Homes LLC filed a civil lawsuit against the City of Piedmont in Canadian County District Court on Oct. 5. The civil lawsuit asks for relief of more than $10,000.
Attorney Gideon Lincecum, representing Boevers Homes LLC., could not be immediately reached for comment.
District Judge Paul Hesse signed off on an order to seal the petition and information from the public. A court filing states in the motion to seal that the litigation concerns a breach of contract and a confidential settlement.
Piedmont City Attorney Mike Segler was aware of the lawsuit when contacted.
“I cannot comment on any pending litigation,” Segler said.
