Piedmont’s new softball facility will host a unique event next week.
The month-old stadium will play host to a fall scrimmage between the University of North Texas and Southern Nazarene University on Wednesday, Oct. 6 with first pitch set for 5:30 p.m.
Piedmont head softball coach Keith Coleman said SNU officials contacted him about the possibility of playing the game at PHS and Piedmont accepted.
UNT competes at the Division-I level and finished the 2021 season with a 38-12 record. SNU competes at the Division-II level and compiled a 20-20 mark last season.
The game is open to the public. Admission is $5 and concessions will be available.
