Piedmont knows who it has to beat to make the state tournament.
The Oklahoma Secondary Schools Activities Association on Wednesday announced PHS will host Santa Fe South, Altus and Noble in a regional that begins Thursday, Oct. 7 and concludes Friday, Oct. 8 at Piedmont’s new softball facility.
The Wildcats are 28-4 overall and will face Santa Fe South (1-24) in the regional opener at noon on Thursday. Altus (11-11) and Noble (9-11) will meet at 2 p.m.
The tournament is a double elimination format. Piedmont, which won a state championship in 2019, missed the state tournament last season.
Admission is $7 and tickets will be sold online only.
