The 2021 Founders Day and Junklahoma events have filled downtown Piedmont streets with thousands of people Saturday.

The day started with a fun run with some runners who wore superhero costumes. Karl Greene was with his daughter Kamarianna Greene. Kamarianna was dressed as Supergirl. She ran a full mile. And dad walked, he said.

“It’s awesome,” Lippert said. “We are looking for some treasures and found a few already,” Lippert said.

He said he scored some dressers for his new house in Piedmont.

Tami Clark, a volunteer with Junklahoma, said the day started out fabulous.

“There is a great crowd and perfect booths with all kinds of stuff,” Clark said.
