The time has come to unmask. Almost.

Piedmont Public Schools students can shed the face coverings if they want to on June 1 for all school activities on all campuses.

A small crowd of people opposed to masks attended the Piedmont School Board meeting Monday, waving signs supporting making masks optional. And that was how the board voted 4-1 to give students the choice, but not before the last final days of the spring semester end.
