Piedmont soccer teams bring home wins

The Piedmont girls and boys varsity soccer teams traveled to Claremore on Friday March 12 with both teams bringing home wins.

The girls game started at 5 p.m. Jordan Hahn earning a hat trick with 3 goals. Kennedy Corbin also with a goal and Lenzie Stephenson scoring off a corner kick before a lightning delay was called with 28:28 left in the game. After about an hour, the game resumed, and Kelsie Gorman finished it off with the sixth goal of the evening. The Lady Wildcats came away with the 6-0 win.

The boys game originally slated to begin at 7 p.m. got started about 8:15 p.m. Ethan Rouse scored two of the Wildcats goals, with Preston Fansher putting in the third. The boys game also had a lightning delay called with 10:12 left in the game. After a brief evaluation of the weather the game was called and the Piedmont Wildcats were victorious with an ending score of 3-2.

The varsity teams will play at Duncan on Tuesday, March 23.
