The marketing manager, Amanda Baustert said, “This is our 11th holiday open house. It has always been successful. We love the community and the community loves us.

Customer service is on the top of our list. So, people were excited to come in for this event.”

“We have a managing pharmacist, Travis Price, and this was his first open house with us,” Baustert said.

The event included hourly giveaways, gifts with purchases over $25, and an IPAD raffle.
“We’re excited,” Baustert said. “It looked a little bit different due to COVID. Masks in Piedmont are not required, but we do recommend them when you come in the store.”

The location offers full-service prescription filling, a complete line of over-the-counter products, immunizations and vaccinations, medical equipment rental, and medication synchronization.

Piedmont Pharmacy & Gifts opened in 2009. Owner John Smith was the pharmacist until 2018. He co-owns another pharmacy in El Reno, so he relocated to that location as a pharmacist.

Baustert said, “We have nine sister pharmacies all over western Oklahoma. John Smith is an owner in all of them. But he is the majority owner at this location.”

The staffers pride themselves in knowing their customers by name. And besides the fact that real people answer the phones, Baustert said, “We’re different for several reasons. We do prescription compounding. And we also do specialty drugs that have to be administered through IVs.”

The location is open Mondays through Fridays from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., and is closed on Sundays.
