An interception by Piedmont’s Brooks Whiteman and a red zone stand by the Wildcats defense stopped the Noble Bears early in a 5A district playoff victory at F&M Bank Stadium Friday night.

A touchdown drive capped off by Joey Mars, and a breakaway run from near midfield to the end zone by Caden Hendren put the Wildcats up 14-0. Piedmont led 21-0 at halftime. The Wildcats won 35-14 to keep the season going.
