COVID-19 has claimed the life of a third person in Piedmont, the Oklahoma State Department of Health reports.

There have been 24 deaths from the virus in Canadian County since March, the health department reports.

Canadian County has had 4,289 cases of COVID-19 with 3,599 people having recovered, the health department reported Wednesday morning.

Kingfisher County has had five deaths, 604 cases and 521 people recover from the virus since March.

Yukon leads the county in the number of deaths with nine reported as of Wednesday morning. There have been 2,104 cases in Yukon and 1,781 people recover, health department data shows.

El Reno has had eight deaths, 948 cases and 743 people recover.

Four people have died of COVID-19 in Mustang with 704 cases and 603 people recovering.

Piedmont has had three deaths reported, 288 cases and 260 people recover.

The City of Kingfisher has had one death from the virus, 261 cases and 204 people recover.

Okarche has had two people die, 72 cases and 60 people recover from the virus.

Both people who died from Okarche lived in Kingfisher County, the health department reports.
