GUYMON — A blocked punt and a steady offense helped the Piedmont Wildcats roll to a 57-0 win over the Guymon Tigers Friday night.

Big plays by Piedmont and turnovers by Guymon led to the Wildcats’ pouring on points in the first half. Mistakes wiped a number of big plays off the scoreboard however, in the only downside of the night for the Wildcats.

Piedmont did not punt the football until about 7 minutes to go in the game. And the punt bounced off a Tigers’ player and Piedmont recovered.

Levi Davis opened the second half at quarterback. The running game continued with handoffs to Brock DeTar.

Jacob Anglin scored on a sweep in the third quarter to up the score. The point after was good and the score hit the half-century mark.

Running backs for Piedmont were churning up the yardage in the first quarter opening a 15-0 lead after a 2-point conversion before a blocked punt and a recovery in the end zone led to the third score.

Joey Mars scored on a 36-yard run and Bo Phelps made the conversion.

The game from McKinnon Memorial Stadium is being livestreamed by KKBS-TV in Guymon.
