GUYMON — The Friday night football game against Guymon High School is still on as of Thursday afternoon, according to The Guymon Daily Herald staff.
The Texas County school in the Panhandle has not reported any COVID-19 related cancellations Thursday, said Tiffany Bohanon, a staff reporter at the newspaper said.
The newspaper reported in late August that Guymon football and volleyball players had been quarantined. The Tigers football team celebrated their homecoming last Friday, Sept. 25.
Piedmont’s away game with Guthrie on Friday, Sept. 25 was canceled when Guthrie School officials reported COVID-19 concerns. The game was canceled about two hours before kickoff.
Guymon lost the homecoming game to Carl Albert 63-0.

Piedmont is is 2-1 on the season. There have been quarantines reported with the eighth and ninth grade football teams this season due to COVID-19.
