Piedmont’s athletes are getting set for the fall season after being given the ‘OK’ to hit the gym and start workouts.

Monday marked the first day the school allowed on-campus activities for athletes, including workouts and summer pride. High school football players, cross country runners, volleyball players and softball players will not be participating in summer leagues or games, but can start preparing for their upcoming seasons.

Piedmont’s summer pride strength and conditioning program will break down into two levels, including Level 1 from June 8 to June 29 where fall athletics (cross counry, football, softball, volleyball) conditioning will be held on campus. During this time winter and spring sports ativities will continue to take place only virtually.

The school will reassess adding winter and spring sports to on-campus participation before the start of Level 2.

Level 2 of the transition will be from July 6 to July 31.

The school has also released a strict set of guidelines to be followed throughout the entirety of the summer to help protect from COVID-19. You can find more information and the step-by-step process each athlete and coach must take by visiting the school’s athletics website at PiedmontWildcatsAthletics.com.
