Storm chances will increase Saturday night in the Piedmont area, The National Weather Service reported.

And a wind advisory has been issued for Easter Sunday.

Saturday evening there is a 10 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 5 p.m. Some of the storms could be severe. Skies will be mostly cloudy with a high near 73. South wind will be about 20 mph with gusts as high as 28 mph.

Storms with heavy rain, 70 mph winds and hail moved into southwest Oklahoma about 7:45 p.m. and moved east from Altus toward Lawton.

A wind advisory for central Oklahoma, including Canadian County, is for 1 p.m. until 10 p.m. Sunday with gusts up to 55 mph.

Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages are possible, the weather service reported.

A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly before 11 p.m. Some of the storms could be severe. Cloudy, with a low around 57. South wind 15 to 18 mph with gusts as high as 25 mph.
Sunday
A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 2 p.m. Partly sunny, with a high near 74. South wind 15 to 23 mph becoming west in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 32 mph.
Sunday Night
A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms before 8 p.m. Partly cloudy, with a low around 30. Windy with a north northwest wind 28 to 33 mph decreasing to 21 to 26 mph after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 47 mph.
Monday
Mostly sunny with a high near 48. North wind 13 to 18 mph with gusts as high as 25 mph.
