Four Wildcats were honored this week as the 2018-19 Suburban Conference teams were released.

Hahn and Oden spurred the team offensively throughout the year. Hahn averaged a team-high 22.5 points per game while also leading the team with 2.7 assisters per. Oden averaged 15.6 points and led the team with 4.7 rebounds per game as well.

“Those two guys carried us through quite a bit this season,” first-year Piedmont coach Wil Scofield said of Hahn and Oden. “It wasn’t just scoring, but leadership as well. They bought in to the little things offensively and defensively.”

Birmingham led the team in deflections and steals in 13 games played. He was looked to as one of the leaders on both end of the court.

“I could put him on anybody defensively,” Scofield said of Birmingham. “He was our heart and soul and meant so much for us mentally and with his energy. It was really good to get him back for the playoffs.”

Heath was named Honorable Metntion after averaging 4.1 points and 4.2 rebounds per game.

“Jarod did a lot of things that go unnoticed in the stat book,” Scofield said. “He anchored our defense and maybe didn’t grab as many rebounds as he could because of how well he blocks out. We’re looking forward to his senior season next year.”

The Wildcats finished third overall in the Suburban Conference regular season standings, going 4-2 behind Carl Albert and El Reno who each went 5-1 for a first-place tie. Piedmont finished the season 13-12 overall.
