The top-ranked Wildcats got back to action this week and got the chance to Thunder up in more ways than one.

Piedmont knocked off No. 10 Lawton MacArthur, 43-23 in blowout fashion at the Chesapeake Energy Arena in Oklahoma City Tuesday, marking the team’s seventh win of the year and third straight after a loss to Class 6A No. 5 Shawnee on Dec. 11.

Sophomore Delanie Crawford led the way offensively for Piedmont in the victory.
Crawford scored 16 points while senior post player Maci Attalla chipped in double digits as well with 15 points. Junior Tyesha Anderson scored eight points while Maggie Young scored four. It was also an impressive win due to senior guard Regan Crawford being out due to illness.

After a slow start, the Wildcats entered the second quarter with a 6-4 lead before going on a 12-0 run before halftime. They extended the lead to 29-11 going into the final eight minutes before sealing the win.

Piedmont returns to action this weekend at the Bethany Tournament.
