Melvin Leroy ”Ozzie” Robison

Melvin Leroy ”Ozzie” Robison, age 83, died Monday, July 9, 2018.

He was born January 26, 1935 in Maryville, MO to Clarence and Margaret (Wickham) Robison.

Melvin grew up in Hopkins, MO and graduated high school in 1953. He attended Central State in Edmond and Cameron University in Lawton, OK. He worked as a lineman for Cotton Electric Cooperative and served on their Board of Directors for 45 years and was also an instructor at Great Plains Area Vo-Tech. He was a member of the First Christian Church.

Melvin was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers; Raymond, Francis, Chester and Donald and one sister; Lorraine.

He is survived by his wife of over 60 years Nelda “Tootsie” (Vinyard), one daughter; Kathryn Brand and husband Rodney, one son; Kyle Robison, three grandchildren; Madeline Robison, Abigail Graves and husband Cole and Mary Brand and by one great grandchild, Saylor.

Donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association at www.alz.org. Private family services will be held in the Hopkins Memorial Cemetery, Hopkins, Missouri. Services are under the direction of Groves-McNeil Funeral Services, Piedmont, Oklahoma.
