The Pride of Piedmont won the Class 5A Oklahoma Bandmasters Association state marching band contest Saturday night at Bronco Stadium in Mustang.
The Piedmont High School band under direction of Jeff Jahnke, was selected by the judges as the grand champion, outstanding music, outstanding general effect and fan favorite categories.
Piedmont was followed by the following schools in their order of finish: Sapulpa, Coweta, Collinsville, Carl Albert, McAlester, Durant, Guthrie, Pryor, Glenpool, Grove and Edison Preparatory School.
