Piedmont town hall meeting to cover land use concerns

For those who want their voices to be heard in Piedmont, a town hall meeting is planned for Thursday, Sept. 28.

The meeting is the second town hall meeting hosted by city officials as they develop a plan to present to the city council in October.

The meeting starts at 6:30 p.m. and ends at 8:30 p.m., according to a flyer from the City of Piedmont.

“We are going to be talking about land use. That is our primary focus” Piedmont City Manager Josh Williams told city council members at a Monday, Sept. 25 meeting.

Williams said discussions will cover sewers, water, roads and infrastructure.

The meeting will be at the Piedmont Area Veterans Association building, 170 Edmond Road NW.

The city is also conducting a survey. Residents can share their feedback by going to the link https://bit.ly/3Oam1dJ or visiting the City of Piedmont Facebook page to find a QR code that is posted. 

“Don’t miss the opportunity to have your voice heard,” according to a Piedmont Facebook post.”

The city’s comprehensive plan will be presented to the city council for consideration in October, Williams said.

“The process of updating the Piedmont Comprehensive Plan continues, and we want your feedback,” according to the post.
