BLACKSBURG, Va. – Piedmont’s Trevin Michael is headed to the College World Series.
Michael turned in another dominant performance as Oklahoma closed out Virginia Tech with an 11-2 victory in a winner-take-all game Sunday afternoon.
The former Wildcat , who wears No. 99 for the Sooners, struck out the final batter he faced with his patented curve ball to seal the win to send OU to its first CWS since 2010.

Michael’s late-inning pitching has been a key to Oklahoma’s run in the last season and he’ll likely play a key role in Omaha, too.
Oklahoma will take on Texas A&M in the opening round of the College World Series in Omaha Friday. A game time has not been announced.
