Piedmont’s Hometown Halloween attracted at least six people in a popular, inflatable chicken costume Saturday night. There were smaller, chicks seen with the bigger hens as well.
Kyleigh Civitts of Piedmont was one of the chickens at the Halloween carnival on Monroe Avenue. She stood in the crowd by the Simpson grain elevator with Kira Civitts who was in a unicorn costume.
“We’ve seen about six,” Kyleigh’s mom said. There were a number of children in chick costumes following some of the bigger hens, she said.
There were also twin superheroes in the crowd. Mary and Kayla, Dusty Davis had a wagon with Walker. Walker’s costume matched dad, Batman and Mary and mom’s costumes were Wonder Woman.
Food trucks, games, and candy drew hundreds. Door-to-door, trick or treating is 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday night, Halloween.
And Tiffany and Wesley B. Blue turned heads with their eye-catching costumes, Wesley as a nun and Tiffany as “Sally” from “Nightmare Before Christmas.”
