Beverly Jolene (Magill) Conklin

Beverly Jolene (Magill) Conklin entered this world on April 9, 1932. After a lifetime of loving Jesus and everyone blessed to know her, she entered Heaven on Oct. 13, 2021.

Beverly and her husband Clayton “Bud” were married in 1950 and celebrated 46 years of marriage just months before his death in 1996. Their two sons, Gary and Ronnie; her parents, Ronald and Hazel Magill; and sister Marilyn also preceded her in death. Beverly is survived by daughter-in-law Holly Conklin and grandchildren Camryn and Clayton of League City, Texas, and a host of close friends who are like family.

Beverly was a member of the First Baptist Church, Piedmont, where she served for three decades as a Sunday School teacher and also helped lead the church’s Grief Share ministry. Beverly knew no stranger, and her life’s mission was to love her family well, make sure everyone in her path was well fed, and to help all know and experience the love of Jesus.

Beverly’s family and friends are grateful for the staff of Ranchwood Nursing Center in Yukon, Dr. Craig Reitz and his medical care team, and the nursing team at Mercy Hospital for their compassionate care.

Funeral services were Oct. 17, at First Baptist Church, Piedmont, under the direction of Ingram, Smith & Turner Funeral Home. Burial followed at Yukon Cemetery. Beverly loved children and was especially fond of children’s ministries. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a contribution to the children’s ministry at First Baptist Church, Piedmont.
