Sherri Lynn Fina was born August 6, 1959 in Hobbs, New Mexico to Sammy Leon Muse and Mary (Wood) Muse. She passed away Friday, October 15, 2021 in Oklahoma City, at the age of 62.
Her family lived in many different places while her father was in the military, finally landing in Moore, Oklahoma, where she attended Moore High School. Her first love, Jesse, came from her first marriage; later she met and married Jerry Fina, and they became truly a family when Jerry adopted Jesse. George came along later and all her boys were the loves of her life.
Sherri spent her life working hard, starting in her father’s trucking company, later working in the family shoe repair shop, but where she really shined was when she started working for AT&T wireless, working her way up through the rank and file to management until she retired in 2019.
Sherri enjoyed life – she played lots of sports and games with her children and grandchildren. She volunteered to be team mom many times. Fishing was her passion and she loved her dogs. But her kids and her grandkids were her life; she would have done anything for them.
She was preceded in death by her mother-in-law, Barbara Fina.
Sherri is survived by her husband of the home, Jerry of Piedmont; her sons Jesse Fina and his wife Eri of Portland, Oregon; son George, of Piedmont; grandchildren Ryan Fina, and Leela Fina; two “bonus” grandchildren Ryleigh and Shade; parents Sammy and Mary Muse of Oklahoma City; sister Cindy and husband Skip, of Oklahoma City; father-in-law, George Fina of Piedmont; brothers and sisters-in-law Mel and Tammy Fina, of Columbus, Ohio; Jeff and Carolyn Fina of Edmond, Ann and Roland Stolfa, of Ardmore, and Mike Fina and Christine Alsobrooks of Oklahoma City; numerous nieces and nephews whom she loved, and Gypsy, Little Girl and Max.
Celebration of Life services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, October 21, at the Yanda & Son Funeral Home Chapel, with interment following at the Kansas Cemetery, Piedmont.
