Piedmont falls at Noble

NOBLE – Piedmont’s rally Friday at Noble fell short.

The Bears hung on to beat Piedmont 49-35.

Colin Fisher completed 12 of 18 passes for 317 yards and five touchdowns for the Bears to counter Piedmont’s 481 yards rushing.

Israel Robles ran 18 times for 154 yards and two scores in the loss. Cannon Wood added 160 yards and a touchdown for Piedmont (1-2).

Noble led 35-21 at half, but Piedmont rally to within 42-35 with 4:20 to play, but Noble added a late touchdown to seal the win.

The loss snapped Piedmont’s 3-game winning streak over Noble.
