Piedmont Elementary School Principal Brandi Skokowski walked with Elijah Diehl, 8 and Samuel Diehl, 6, after school Monday to meet their mom.
Terra Diehl stood on the north side of the elementary school. The family moved to Piedmont this year from Arapaho in Custer County. The boys are adjusting to their new school, she said.
“Everybody says this is a small town, but I just laugh because Arapaho is 500 people,” Terra Diehl said.
Elijah started second grade and his brother Samuel started first grade at Piedmont Elementary School, Terra Diehl said.
There are more than 4,900 students enrolled in Piedmont Public Schools this fall.
