Acrobatic performer entertains Piedmont Public Library's “Tails and Tales”

Outside the Piedmont Public Library, an acrobat juggled, rode an electric unicycle and waved Monarch butterfly wings.

The crowd gathered along the front drive of the library, 1129 Stout Drive N.W. Tuesday, June 8 for the second week of the 2021 summer reading program “Tails and Tales.”

Live events are scheduled for Tuesdays this summer, with the rest of the program online.

Local firefighters brought a fire truck for public display at the June 1 event.

Jeremy Philo, the acrobat, is part of the Inspyral Circus, and he entertained children and parents during the morning demonstration.

Piedmont police plan to visit 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 15 from 11 a.m. to noon. Other events are planned including Hooplahoma 11 a.m. to noon Tuesday, June 22.

 

Youth are encouraged to log 20 minutes of reading a day for seven days to get a prize.
