The Piedmont Public Schools teacher of the year is Joy Ruiz, the district announced.
Ruiz teaches yearbook and computers classes at the high school.
Other site teachers of the year were Laura Kishman, Piedmont Early Childhood Center, Heather Dougherty, Northwood Elementary, Anita Jane Garnand, Piedmont Elementary School, Jessica Fones, Stone Ridge Elementary, Heidi Hughes, Piedmont Intermediate School, Kevin Wilda, Middle School of Piedmont.
Ruiz has taught in the district for 22 years. She was also the 2017 Piedmont High School teacher of the year.
