The Piedmont class of 2021 graduates walked the state of the Jim Norick Arena at State Fair Park Sunday, and 260 who earned diplomas said goodbye to their senior year.
Sophia Rodriguez, Class President, gave her Presidential Address to classmates.
“Each of us will continue a journey in our lives,” Rodriguez said. “Our graduation isn’t an end, rather a new beginning of the next chapter of our lives.”
Superintendent White said the words to send off the seniors.
“By the State of Oklahoma and the Board of Education of Piedmont Public Schools, I pronounce you, the class of 2021, graduates of Piedmont High School.”
Rodriguez and Sara Chester, class vice-president, gave the orders to turn the tassels from the right to the left, and then gave the countdown to send the caps flying into the air.
