There were times the senior class members of 2021 may have wondered if they would get a graduation ceremony.
Last year, COVID-19 resulted in cancellation of an in-person ceremony. This year, things are returning closer to normalcy, and an in-person ceremony is set.
The 260 seniors will graduate at 2 p.m. Sunday,. May 23 at The Oklahoma State Fair Park in the Jim Norick Arena, 333 Gordon Cooper Boulevard. Although the end of wearing masks is near for Piedmont staff and students on campuses, masks will be required at the Jim Norick Arena. The mask mandate ends June 1 for the district.
This year’s senior class officers are Sophia Rodriguez, president, Sara Chester, vice-president and Lizbeth Exparza, historian.
The valedictorians are Lily Kate Humphries, Aubrey Mason Weed, Ava Eileen Woolery, Kennedy Ann Corbin, Jacob Isaac, Abygail Dawn Nikkel. Madison Diane Kuzmic, Palmer Blakely Strubhar, Taj Macai Prince, Madilyn Ann Lee, Giovanni A. Phillipose, Samantha RaeAnn Taylor, Cheldon Riley Gatz, Christopher Kirk Guillory, Kinley Faith Downing, Kalyssa Reanna Guillory, Syeda Ishrart Sayera, Emma Louise Seatt, Brock Allen DeTar, Gracie Ilanna Myatt, Jacy Adelene Oliver, Katelyn Elle Wilson, Lana Elise Daniels, Payton Christopher Brezina, Brooke Mykel Welch, Robert Dillon Dibrell, Katelynn Dawn Wood, Kralie Earlene Boothe, Jonas Alan Metzger, Zoey Kathleen Salpino, Jessica Jordan Leigh Kriethe, Sydney Rae Tolentino, Ashton Taylor Raymond and Jospeh Earl Foister. The salutatorian is William Wesley Lennertz.
