Layne Jones, a former Piedmont Schools athletic director, defeated incumbent school board member Zach Myatt Tuesday night, the Oklahoma State Election Board unofficial results show.
With 10 of 10 precincts reporting, Jones had 982 votes, 51%, to Myatt’s 915 votes, 48%.
Jones was athletic director before leaving the job for private business last year.
