The spring season is here for the Piedmont Wildcats baseball team.

The Wildcats began their 2021 season with a scrimmage in Stillwater on Monday, Feb. 22.

Led by Coach Adam Skokowski, the Wildcats coach and players say they are ready to get back to baseball.

“2020 was kind of a wash for us due to COVID, so the guys are really excited to be out here competing,” Skokowski said.

Spectators will be allowed at all home baseball games provided face coverings are worn.

Tickets are $5 for adults and students; $3 Senior Citizens and will be available online only at www.purplepass.com/ppswildcats.

The games scheduled include 4:30 p.m., Friday, Feb. 26 at the Piedmont softball and baseball field against Edmond Santa Fe.

The team plays at noon Saturday, Feb. 27 at Stillwater. Games scheduled include 4:30 p.m. Monday, March 1 against Deer Creek at Piedmont; 5:30 p.m. March 2 against Shawnee at home.

The schedule includes 5 p.m., Thursday, March 4 against Norman North; 5 p.m. Friday, March 5, senior night at home; 1 p.m. Saturday, March 6, versus Weatherford, also at home in Piedmont.

Road games begin at 4 p.m. Monday, March 8 at Capitol Hill High School before returning home at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 9 against Capitol Hill.

A game will be at 5 p.m. March 12 at Shawnee.

The Edmond festival is March 19. Other games are against Santa Fe South, March 22; Enid, March 26; Shiloh Christian, Arkansas, March 27; Guymon, March 30; and the F&M Bank Classic April 1 through April 5; The Bill Tipton Classic, April 8-April 10; El Reno, April 13; McGuinness, April 15; Kingfisher, April 16; Perry, April 17; Alva, April 17; Guthrie, April 19, April 20; Tulsa Union, April 23; Carl Albert, April 26; April 27; Deer Creek, April 29; Kingfisher, May 3.

The regional tournament begins May 6 and the state tournament begins May 13.
