The number of COVID-19 cases in Piedmont Public Schools for December has been tracked and reported by district officials.
The district has switched to virtual, or remote learning until Jan. 19.
On Dec. 11, there were 27 students in the district who have tested positive for COVID-19 and 298 students under quarantines.
The district had three staff members who were positive for COVID-19 and one staff member under quarantine.
The district enrollment is 4,464 students and the district has 450 staff members.
The breakdown of numbers at school sites show the following:
Piedmont High School, with an enrollment of 1,193 students, had 16 students who were positive and 101 students under quarantine. The high school had 95 staff members, and three people with positive cases and 15 staff members under quarantines.
The Middle School of Piedmont has 703 students total, and three students were positive for COVID-19 and 101 students were quarantined. The middle school has 95 staff members, and three staff members were positive and 15 quarantined.
Piedmont Intermediate School has 704 students, and two students were positive and 35 students under quarantine. The intermediate school has 68 staff members, none who were positive, but five under quarantine.
Stone Ridge Elementary School, enrollment 513 students, had three students positive and 45 students under quarantine. Stone Ridge has 48 staff members and one staff member who was positive and two under quarantine.
Piedmont Elementary School, enrollment 382, had no students positive, but 15 under quarantine as of Dec. 11. The school has 52 staff members, none who were positive, and one under quarantine.
Northwood Elementary School, enrollment 453, had one student positive and 30 students quarantined. Northwood has 50 staff members, one positive and seven quarantined.
Piedmont Early Childhood Center, with 516 students, had two positive cases and 26 students quarantined. The center has 67 staff members, and one was positive and seven under quarantine.
