OKLAHOMA CITY – State Rep. Denise Crosswhite Hader, R-Surrey Hills, issued the following statement in appreciation of the State Board of Education voting to continue allowing local school boards to determine mask and other health policies related to the COVID-19 pandemic, according to a news release.
“Our local school board members are elected by those in their immediate communities, and therefore they know the best policies for the students, families and educators they serve. They are taking their responsibilities seriously when it comes to protection and public safety. I am thankful the Oklahoma State Board of Education voted to continue supporting our citizens in taking personal responsibility for wearing masks and other measures and for supporting such local control.”
