The Piedmont Wildcats lost the regional softball tournament to the Del City Eagles Friday in the second game of the finals.
The Wildcats were defeated by the Eagles 3-2 .
Piedmont lost 4-0 to Del City in the afternoon game.
In the afternoon game, the Wildcats stranded two base runners in the bottom of the first inning, and the offensive stall continued through the rest of the game.
Payten Schibbelhute opened on the mound for the Wildcats.
Del City defeated Lawton MacArthur Friday in the noon game.
Piedmont beat Lawton MacArthur and Santa Fe South Thursday to advance.
