A Surrey Hills area insurance agency was struck by a burglar early Saturday who stole iPad, checks and life insurance policy information, a police report shows.

The Bronson Schubert State Farm Insurance office at 10932 Northwest Expressway, Suite A, was broken into about 4:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 15, according to an Oklahoma City police report.

The burglar was caught on a video surveillance camera, however, the person wore all black from head to toe, and could not be recognized immediately, police reported.

The burglar wore a black hooded shirt and pants.

Police were called to the business shortly before noon Saturday. Officers had found the building had been broken into.

A police report states that the burglar appears on video and appears to possibly know where items are in the office. The suspect went to a filing cabinet and grabbed a few Apple iPad, draft checks and leave the building in about five minutes.

“The subject went straight to the cabinet as though he knew what he was looking for. He did not wander or appear to be looking in various other cabinets. He snatched and left very quickly,” the police report reads.

The burglar stole life insurance policy information for customers, two Apple iPads, and the bank account log for insurance premiums. The burglar also took the draft checks from policy holders. The insurance agency’s bank, F&M Bank, located across the street, has been notified of the theft of the checks, the police report states.

No arrests have been reported by Oklahoma City police. Anyone with information can call Crime Stoppers at (405) 235-7300.
