The 2019 Piedmont volleyball schedule has been released with the Wildcats opening up the regular season at home against Del City.
The Cats will compete in two scrimmages at Yukon on Aug. 1 and at Southmoore on Aug. 3 before opening up against the Eagles on Aug. 13 at home. Piedmont will host Mt. St. Mary’s Aug. 15, Noble Aug. 20 and Heritage Hall Aug. 22 to complete a four-match homestand to start the year.
Following the four straight home games the Cats will travel to Midwest City for the 2019 Carl Albert Tournament Aug. 23-24 before returning home to host Yukon Aug. 29 and Ponca City Sept. 3. Following the two-match set at home the team will travel to Bethany for the 2019 Bethany Tournament Sept. 7.
Piedmont hits the road for its first regular season, non-tournament road match Sept. 10 at Enid before traveling to Shawnee Sept. 12. After a few days off the team will complete at four-match road stint at Chisholm Sept. 19 and at Noble Sept. 23 before returning home to host Weatherford Sept. 26 and Deer Creek Sept. 30.
The Cats will take on Bishop McGuinness in their final home game of the year Oct. 1 before closing out the regular season slate at OCS Oct. 3 and at El Reno Oct. 8. The 2019 Class 5A regionals are scheduled for Oct. 14 and the Class 5A state tournament is scheduled for Oct. 21-22.
The Wildcats finished 5-17 last season, falling to Duncan in the regional tournament to cap the season. Piedmont will be under a new head coach this season, Tom Williams.
